Background

The Idaho Fire Information service works under the Bureau of Land Management's directive to provide safety and logistic information surrounding wildfires and planned burns in the state of Idaho. The original site being used had been built up on the service Blogger, with links and information being tacked on over the years until the site had become difficult to manage and navigate. As the web designer, I collaborated with a creative team to create a more aesthetic and functional site for the client.

Conclusion

With the design finalized, I handed off files to the in-house developer to go into production. The site is live and I and my team received the following feedback:
“The old website was not functional and didn’t look the best, but now it’s so much nicer. It’s so much more professional and user-friendly. This was above and beyond what I expected.”
“One comment I keep hearing about the new site is just how striking it is. It’s so eye-catching and clean. Everything looks like it was put there on purpose.”
